Very few people would list the COVID-19 pandemic as something to be thankful for, but for these two brides, it brought an unexpected light during one of the darkest times. Dating hadn’t been easy for Lindsay, and she was starting to lose hope of finding someone truly special. Online dating didn’t really appeal to her, but one day, Lindsay let her sister play around on her Bumble account. Almost immediately, she came across Teresa’s profile. Knowing Lindsay better than anyone, she turned the phone around and asked, “Would you be interested?” Lindsay didn’t hesitate. The answer was a quick and enthusiastic yes!
If it wasn’t for COVID, Teresa wouldn’t have been in Lindsay’s dating radius that day. They matched on March 13, 2020, and sparks flew fast. Just a few weeks later, on March 31st, Lindsay made the bold decision to meet Teresa in person for the first time, knowing their connection was something so rare and special.
What started as a simple trip quickly blossomed into something much more meaningful. Over the next two years, Lindsay and Teresa focused on connection, the kind that deepens not just through milestones, but through everyday moments spent together. Along the way, they welcomed a new companion into their lives: a sweet dog named Kody, who became a beloved part of their growing little family.

The Proposal
Fast forward to January 30, 2022, a cold, snowy day that would turn out to be one of the warmest in memory for Lindsay and Teresa. Lindsay planned for her best friend, who’s a photographer, to take “graduation photos” for Teresa. With a charming Belmar gazebo as the perfect little shelter from the intense blizzard going on around them, Lindsay dropped to one knee and asked the question that would change everything. Despite the cold and the complete surprise, Teresa didn’t hesitate; she said yes without missing a beat. But Lindsay wasn’t the only one with a surprise up her sleeve that day.
Back at Lindsay’s parents’ house, where she had arranged for both families to gather and toast their engagement, Lindsay noticed something a little off. Only their parents were there to greet them. Confused but curious, she watched as a beautiful video played, capturing the moments and milestones of her and Teresa’s love story. When the video ended, she was led down to the basement, where rose petals lined the floor, guiding her to Teresa. And there she was waiting with a smile and a surprise of her own. Teresa dropped to one knee and asked Lindsay the same life-changing question she herself had been asked just moments earlier. Overcome with joy, Lindsay said yes.

The Big Day
On April 25, 2024, Lindsay and Teresa made it official, celebrating their love at Clarks Landing Yacht Club. Their family and friends joyfully waved rainbow flags as the couple exited their beautiful ceremony, radiating happiness. Kody, their Golden Retriever, was even able to join them for a few heartfelt photos before the party began—a special moment they’ll always cherish. They’ve since added another golden to their family, Zach! The couple made wonderful use of many of our included décor options, such as linens, centerpieces, cake stand, cake forks, and more. This allowed the couple to create an intimate and meaningful evening, keeping the focus entirely on one another. Our all-inclusive wedding package made planning simple and stress-free, allowing Lindsay and Teresa to fully enjoy every moment of their day together.

Their love story is a testament to following your heart, trusting your instincts, and believing in the magic that can come from even the most unexpected circumstances. In a world that often felt uncertain, Lindsay and Teresa found certainty in each other and proved that yes, love can thrive even in the hardest of times. And yes… sometimes dating apps do work out, after all 😉
