Unique DIY Wedding Décor Ideas

Do you have a little creative fire & considering some DIY wedding décor for your wedding? Its a great way to get creative and show some personal style. Previously we’ve seen many DIY wedding décor projects at Clarks Landing Yacht Club and would love to share a few! The most common DIY wedding décor we’ve seen are specialized escort cards and guest sign-in boards. In lieu of traditional escort cards, we’ve seen hand-painted oyster shells and hand-carved boats. Add some personal handwriting with the guest names written on the sails and hand-painted window frames. Occasionally we’ve seen fun elements like surfboards, life raft rings, wooden lounge chairs and corn hole games to add unique décor to our couples celebration spaces.

Make it Personal

An easy way to add personal touches to your wedding is with DIY signage throughout the venues. For example, you can get personal with your welcome signs, signature drink names (don’t forget the hashtag!) seating charts, and table numbers. How personal & unique you get with your wedding décor really depends on you and your fiancé’s creative spirit! Having a little help from your wedding party might help lighten the load and add a little fun into your project.
