What are Signature Drinks?

Signature drinks are cocktails that you want to highlight at the bar as a recommendation to your guests. It’s especially helpful for the guests who might not drink often or have a “go-to” cocktail.   Many couples promote their signature drink at the wedding with a cute and catchy name and a personalized sign to show the ingredients.  The signature drink can be creatively named after the couple, an important moment in your relationship, or even your pets! One Cocktail or Two?

Whether you choose one or two signature drinks to recommend to your guests, the choice is completely up to you. Signature drinks have taken the wedding world by storm. Generally many couples pick two cocktails that signify or resemble them, it could be their personal favorites or drinks that remind them of each other. Yet, this isn’t the case for everyone! If you want to only have one signature drink, it can come “Recommended by the Happy Couple!”

Beer Drinkers Included

If cocktails aren’t your thing and beer is what you prefer, go for it! Certainly beer can equally be great on its own or a perfect base for mixed drinks, aka “beer cocktails” and are a perfect nod to the season. Think of summer shandy and watermelon beer for summertime and black velvet and beer/bourbon cocktails for the colder months. 

Get Creative with your Signature Drinks

Don’t be afraid to be creative and personal with your signature drink. You can invoke a favorite season (Summer Breeze), movie (Pretty in Pink mimosa), song (Red, Red Wine by UB40), sports (The Kickoff), and region (California Colada).  An Aperol Spritz is both elegant and refreshing and adds a perfect touch of color to match your décor. Black and White Martini is a great compliment to a Black and White wedding theme. Irish coffee ties in well for a couple with a strong Irish heritage. An Old Fashioned is timeless and perfect for any occasion. You can also give your signature drinks some flair by adding fun stirrers.
