Wedding seating chart at Clarks Landing Planning your seating can be a source of stress for your wedding. Here at Clarks Landing, we want to make your entire wedding planning experience as stress free as possible! We want to help you with the big and the small details on your special day.

How do I decide where we will sit?

It is important to trust your venue to guide you when it comes to your wedding seating chart. Certainly they know the best spot for you to have your table where you can be seen and see all of your guests. We want the layout of the room to look it’s best for you and your guests, our knowledge comes from years of experience!

How do I make a wedding seating chart?

At Clarks Landing, we have an amazing online program that we use to create your seating chart. You can upload your guest list and place people at the tables you want them to be seated at. If your venue does not have an online wedding seating chart, ask them for a copy of the floor plan. You can then see where the tables are located.  Then start placing your guests at the tables you’d like them to be at. An Excel spreadsheet is a great way to keep track as you can sort by name or by table if needed.

What are some fun ways to show everyone to their seat?

While most traditionally we still see wedding seating cards quite a bit, another way to let your guests know where they will be seated is with a wedding seating board. You can have one printed up or even hand written on a beautiful mirror. In lieu of regular wedding seating cards, we’ve also seen hand painted oyster shells, miniature sailboats, Christmas ornaments and even most recently rubber ducks! Just make sure that everything is in alphabetical order and not arranged by table number. It helps your guests locate their names so much quicker. Check out some seating ideas here!
