There are so many benefits to consider weekday weddings. One of my favorite things about a weekday wedding is that it gives you more time to spend with your wedding guests and families. While weekends are great, many rush back home the next day to prepare for the upcoming week. When you get married on a weekday, you can enjoy the next few days with friends and family.

Weekday weddings tend to be less expensive than weekend dates. The savings on the venue can open up some of your budget. Allowing you to get that dream band you’ve always wanted or the honeymoon in Hawaii you might not have room in the budget for otherwise.

Typically plane tickets, hotel rates, Uber costs and car rentals tend to be less expensive during the week. That will be a huge benefit for your guests who have to travel. I love that you can choose a date that might have a significant meaning to you. I have a Wednesday wedding coming up with a date that falls on the anniversary day when the couple started dating. Vendors such as wedding venues, DJ’s, bands, photographers, videographers, etc. may have better availability options in the more popular months than if you were only looking for a weekend date. The Chateaubriand tastes just as good on a Thursday as it does on a Saturday!

How to Communicate Weekday Weddings to Guests

It’s great to send a “Save the Date” to your guests to make them aware of your weekday wedding date.  This way they can make the proper arrangements should they need to take off from work or make travel arrangements. A wedding website is a great way to also communicate any additional activities you may plan for in the days following to have extra time with your friends and family.
